Update!

We are still living in the land of limbo. We have been working this past week on packing up the house to decide on our next step. It is up to lease right now, but leasing this house is different from the smaller house. Its amazing how many people can't afford it and want you to work with them anyway because they really like the house. Crazy! Seems that many people do not understand the principles of business. Anyway, the big thing now is that I will be staying in Utah and Sean will be headed to Alaska for the time being. The short term goal we have set for ourselves is to be in a position that we are poised to go whichever direction life seems to take us for now. We figure that all the recent changes are just due to life's ever changing adventure! So keep posted. We will have some new pics to be posted soon..........I am off work for the next two weeks and am disconnecting from technology. Well, ok- from everything other than my blackberry. Gotta be realistic!!! :)

Sean at war

We had some nervy tumbleweeds try to take root in our lawn! Sean had to deal with those as soon as he came back from his trip to Alaska! The lawn is now weed free and a lovely fertilized green.

Poor Sean! I have a thing that when he is wearing clothing items with a hole, I have to insert finger and tear. Since said finger is reinforced with plastic and acrylic it can do some damage. He was quite put out that I ripped his sock today and sat in our family room bemoaning this. Then out of a shared sense of stubborness he decided to wear the sock and try his best to make me feel bad for "destroying" a perfectly good sock! ;)

Happy Birthday Doug!

Here are some pictures of my Dad Doug at work on his special day. None of us can believe that he finally hit 50. Its kind of like the embarassing picture in the senior yearbook, no 50th birthday is complete without the family blog post to advertise it to the world. I took the liberty to point out that the handy propeller on his nifty new birthday hat might aid in the commute home tonight!

More jeeping in the desert

So we saw some great red cliffs during our drive, Fort Pearce which was a fort built to keep local native Americans away from a spring and place it into Mormon control. We also saw tracks from a big herbivore dinosaur and a smaller carnivore.

Jeeping in the desert

Since the weather was super fantastic ( about 85 degrees today!!!) we decided to take advantage of the fact that we didn't have to have AC to survive and went out to the desert to see some dinosaur tracks. As you can see we saw local flora in the pics that we took and fauna (Sean's favorite modern dinosaur ~ a lizard!!!) It was a fantastic 3 hour ride that was such a rare privilege this time of year because we are usually indoors sweltering!

Spring misc

Graysen and I tackled a school project and made a volcano for him to take to school so they could make lava. I thought it turned out pretty good considering that the last project I made for a 5th grade science thing was in 5th grade! +++++Graysen playing baseball in St. George. He is on the Red Sox team which is his favorite team. He also made the majors (a step up from the minors) so~ Go Graysen! +++++ Sean picking grapefruit in Phoenix. We brought back grapefruit and lemons. The lemons were just fantastic and smelled so good! I kept one in my hand and just smelled it all morning. Nothing smells like sunshine more than a lemon!! At least that is what I think. ;)

I am sure that you all are sick of the hollyhocks and I am not much for scale...BUT look at how HUGE these are! I am standing on my feet so these have got to be nearly 10 feet tall. Ok, enough already I know! :) We had one of the first summer storms the other night and I captured this rainbow. Fom my point it looked like the rainbow ended just at a school that is down the way. Since its a pricey, private school, I am guessing that someone's pot of gold is over there! ha ha
